The portrait of myself was an image from the renaissance festival with a few additions on to the image. My face was replaced and comprised of several other facial features from other images. The main additions to myself are: Ryu, Subzero, Raphael from TMNT, and Raphael from soulcalibur. Each one of the characters represent a videogame i was addicted to for a time, but mostly it reminds me of the times i spent with my brother. Also for the fact that 2 of the characters share my 2nd name, which is what i mostly go by. I also put red eyes on my picture to represent that all of us have a good vs evil battle every day in ourselves.
The fire in the background represents the flames of the Phoenix, because part of life is a cycle of renewal and change. The fire also represents the fires of friendship that will always keep on burning. Also it is entwined with my taberd in the sense that, it also doubles as my costume for a weekly even i go to called Dagorhir, in which our symbol is a fire bird. It also entails with my name in the event Seraph, in which the characters story is basically a fallen angle seeking redemption. And finally the trombone in the corner it represents the fact that i love all arts including music, including playing the trombone.
